  • Schedule posts days or weeks in advance

  • Post across multiple platforms at once

  • Keep your messaging consistent across channels

Why Google Is Considered a Social Platform

Google Business Profile (GBP) allows you to publish updates (called "posts") that show up directly in search results when someone Googles your business.

These posts function like social content:

  • They have images, text, and links

  • They appear in your public Google profile

  • They are time-sensitive (events, specials, etc.)

Maintaining consistent posts on Google boosts your local SEO and gives searchers a reason to choose you over competitors.

Accessing the Social Planner

  • Log in to your REBEL ONE dashboard

  • From the left-hand menu, go to: Marketing > Social Planner

  • You will see a calendar-style view with upcoming and past scheduled posts

  • Toggle between Calendar and list view on the right side of the social planner screen- list icon and calender icon

Connecting Social Media Accounts

Before you can post, you need to connect your platforms.

  • Navigate to Settings > Integrations

  • Click "Connect" next to the platforms you want to use:

    • Facebook Page (must be an Admin)

    • Instagram Business Account (connected via Facebook)

    • Google Business Profile

    • TikTok (Business Account login required)

    • LinkedIn (Company Page login required)

  • Grant all requested permissions

  • Refresh the Social Planner if needed

Important: Make sure your browser is logged into the correct accounts before connecting.

Troubleshooting Tip:f a platform disconnects or fails to post, revisit Settings > Integrations, disconnect, and reconnect the platform.

Scheduling a Post

  • In Marketing > Social Planner, click "+ New Post"

  • Choose which platforms to post to (one or multiple)

  • Upload your image or video

  • Write your caption or message

    • Include emojis, hashtags, or mentions (where applicable)

  • Choose a date and time

  • Click "Schedule Post" or "Post Now"

Best Practices:

  • Use platform-appropriate image sizes

  • Keep copy short and engaging

  • Highlight offers, events, or daily specials

  • Don’t forget calls-to-action ("Call Now", "Reserve a Table", etc.)

If a Post Fails

Potential Reasons:

  • The platform connection expired (reconnect in Integrations)

    • Check status in the on page settings - the gear icon, top right

  • The image size or format is unsupported

    • Google image size recommendations for your platforms- see FAQ below

  • Caption includes banned hashtags or flagged language

    • Check your captions with Chat GTP for known compliance

  • Instagram not linked properly via Facebook Page

Fix:

  • Reconnect the platform in Settings > Integrations

  • Review post content for formatting or compliance

  • Reschedule the post manually

FAQs & Common Concerns

Q: Can I post to multiple platforms at once?

A: Yes, select all platforms you want to post to when creating the post.

Q: Can I tag other accounts or locations?

A: Limited support depending on the platform. Facebook and Instagram support @mentions; others vary.

Q: What image sizes should I use?

A:

  • Facebook/Instagram: 1080x1080 or 1200x628

  • Google: 1200x900

  • TikTok: Vertical video, 1080x1920

Q: Can I schedule video posts?

A: Yes, videos can be uploaded, but not all platforms allow video scheduling. TikTok scheduling has limitations.

Q: Why does Google remove some posts after a few days?

A: Google posts expire after 7 days (except for events). Reposting weekly keeps content fresh.

Q: Do I get alerts if a post fails?

A: Not automatically. Check the post calendar or review past posts for red error icons.

Weekly Workflow Recommendation

  • Once a week: Batch create posts for the week and post to the Social Planner

  • Mix content types: food photos, team shoutouts, behind-the-scenes, upcoming events

Check Social Planner every 2-3 days for posting errors or platform disconnects
