GOOGLE BUSINESS PROFILE (GBP) & SEARCH OPTIMIZATION IN REBEL ONE
Your Google Business Profile is the foundation of your online visibility. It determines how your restaurant appears in Google Search and Google Maps — and has a direct impact on calls, reservations, and foot traffic. In REBEL ONE, you can connect and validate your GBP, publish posts directly to it through the Social Planner, and take advantage of built-in Search SEO tools to improve your ranking without extra add-ons.
Your GBP should have been set up during your ONBOARDING CALL. If for any reason it wasn’t completed or connected at that time, this section will walk you through how to set it up now — and then we’ll validate the connection in this training.
1. CONNECTING & VALIDATING YOUR GOOGLE BUSINESS PROFILE IN REBEL ONE
Before you can post or pull in review data, your GBP must be connected to your REBEL ONE account.
Steps to Connect:
From your REBEL ONE dashboard, go to Settings > Integrations.
Locate Connect Your Locations Google Account
Click Sign in With Google .
Log into the Google account that manages your business listing.
Select your restaurant’s GBP location and grant all requested permissions.
Save changes.
Validation Check:
From the Dashboard view- Go to Reputation in the left-hand menu.
In the Overview view, you should see the Get Started window showing Connect Google Business Profile Checked off and crossed out- showing this step is complete
Also, If your recent Google reviews appear, your connection is active.
If not, return to Settings > Integrations, disconnect, and reconnect.
2. POSTING TO GOOGLE VIA SOCIAL PLANNER
Google posts help keep your listing fresh and competitive in search results. They work just like social media updates.
Steps to Post:
Go to Marketing > Social Planner.
Click + Create New Post.
Select Google Business Profile along with any other platforms you want to post to.
Add your content:
Image or video
Caption (short, engaging, and relevant)
Select post Type (dropdown): Call-to-action, Event, or offer.
For a CTA post - select a button label.
For an Event post - Select start and end times, Title, and button label
For an Offer Post- Select Start/end dates, Title, Coupon Code, Redeem Link, and Terms.
Schedule or publish immediately.
Pro Tip: Google posts expire after 7 days (except event posts). Plan at least one weekly GBP update to maintain visibility.
3. USING BUILT-IN SEARCH SEO FEATURES IN REBEL ONE
REBEL ONE includes native SEO tools (no add-ons required) to help improve your search ranking.
Note: SEO tools are only available for websites hosted on REBEL ONE.
If your site is hosted elsewhere, you will need to manage SEO directly within your website platform — Most of these SEO principles can still be applied and managed directly within other website hosting platforms.

Where to Find Them:
Navigate to Sites in your left-hand menu.
Select your website or landing page.
Open Settings > SEO Metadata.
Key Elements to Optimize:
Page Title – Include your restaurant name, location, and primary keyword (e.g., “Joe’s BBQ – Best Barbecue in Austin, TX”).
Meta Description – A concise, engaging summary (up to 160 characters) encouraging clicks from search results.
Keywords – Add relevant search terms customers use to find your type of restaurant.
Image Alt Text – Add descriptions to images so search engines understand them.
Additional SEO Tips:
Keep all NAP (Name, Address, Phone) info consistent between GBP and your website.
Add internal links between important pages on your site.
Use headings (H1, H2) logically and include relevant keywords.
Best Practices
Confirm GBP connection before starting any posting strategy.
Keep GBP info (hours, menu links, phone number) accurate at all times.
Use Google posts for specials, events, and timely promotions.
Review and update website SEO metadata quarterly.
